marcona skin low resKnown as the “Queen of Almonds,” the highly prized Marcona is indigenous to Spain.  Requiring more time and specialized growing conditions, the trees flourish in the region of Valencia. Plumper than most varieties, this smooth, tan almond contains high amounts of essential oils.

The grower leaves the skins on these Marcona almonds for added texture and to better hold up to the flavor of the olive oil. Once drained of excess oil and salted, they are packed in vacuum-sealed bags. Forever Cheese was the first to bring these to the U.S. 3/2kg
