Hazelnuts in Honey
The bees collect nectar from large fields of wild lavender to produce this delicate creamed honey, which is then combined with ground hazelnuts. With its nutty flavor and underlying floral notes, this creamy spread works wonders on toast or atop vanilla ice cream. Serramel’s origins trace back to 1900 when Jorge de Almeida Lima explored his first beehives in Quinta do Lameiro, his country estate on the outskirts of Lisbon. In 1974, his great great grandchildren, led by Frederico Horgan, decided to restore the old hives, carrying on the tradition of producing high-quality honeys. Preorder only.
