Glarner Alpkäse AOP 2022 – Alp Heuboden
This clean and floral cheese is made by the Tschudi-Lenzlinger family on Alp Heuboden each summer. Three generations of the family, along with their cows and pigs, venture up the mountain from the winter home, eventually reaching rich pastures at almost 6000 feet. They make their cheese over a wood fire and age it at their own facility for the summer because of their incredibly remote location. This cheese is part of the 2023 Adopt-an-Alp® program.
