Swiss Lady
Swiss Lady is an approachable and fun cow's milk cheese from Switzerland. Its subtly nutty flavor and fudgy, smooth texture endears it to a wide variety of palates, while capturing that captivating savory Alpine profile. It works equally well grated in quantity over freshly scrambled eggs as it does as an accompaniment to a well-made old fashioned.
Philip Koller took after his father and became a cheesemaker, though for a time, he moved away from his home region of Sankt Gallen and traveled the country making cheese, picking up new methods and ideas. When he came back home, he branched out into making his own creations, including Swiss Lady. The goal was to create a cheese that’s a crowd pleaser and is fun to eat. This 2 month aged cheese is the result, and they hit the mark – the cheese is easy to snack on, with a mild and creamy profile, and is great for entertaining as it works just as well as a table cheese as it does melted over party food.
