Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP 2023 – Alp Gantrischli
Eight families stay on Alp Gantrischli each summer and contribute milk to Hans and Radka Glauser’s dairy. 120 cows graze on mountain pastures of up to 6000 feet, providing the raw milk for this Alpage Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP. Its pungent aroma and funky flavor are tempered by notes of sweet, clean milk and an acidity reminiscent of yogurt. This cheese is part of the 2023 Adopt-an-Alp® program.
