Our partners in Spain and Italy brought home some big awards at the 2022 World Championship Cheese Awards this March in Madison, Wisconsin. Cabra al Gofio, a cornmeal-coated goat cheese from the Canary Islands received the honor of Best of Class in its category. Its sister cheeses Alisios®, Smokin’ Goat, and Maxorata with Pimentón all won second place in their respective categories. Los Cameros, our producer in La Rioja, Spain, won Best of Class for one of their sheep’s milk cheeses, and Igor Gorgonzola took home third place for their Gorgonzola Piccante. It is quite an honor to win at this technically-focused cheese competition and we’re proud to represent these award-winning producers in the U.S.
