Alpkäse 2023 – Alp Tannenboden

Each summer, the Tannenboden dairy team, located on the high plateau of Flumserberg in northeastern Switzerland, transforms the milk of nine neighboring Alps into a wide variety of cheeses and dairy products. This collective organization is one that has allowed many families to continue the lifestyle of transhumance. The cheese produced in this modern, light filled Alp dairy has hints of mushrooms, earthiness, and at the same time, sweet butter. Their Alpkäse has a rich, lingering mouthfeel.
