Long Island City, NY, January 26, 2022 – Forever Cheese, acclaimed importer of Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Croatian cheese and specialty food, will be showcasing their newest products at the Winter Fancy Food Show in Booth 2759, February 6-8 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Among their new products are cheeses that have never before been imported to the U.S., a new line of Italian charcuterie from Piacenza, and a wide variety of retail nuts, crackers, and confectionary. This is the first time since 2020 that Forever Cheese has exhibited at the annual specialty food trade show.
Some of their newest cheeses include Km 39, long-aged cheese from Galicia, Spain made with milk from 100% pasture-fed cows, and an artisanal hand-stretched cow’s milk cheese from Puglia, Italy. Explains co-owner Michele Buster, “There are times when I just know; it’s like love at first sight. This is how I feel when I encounter some cheeses and I am just bursting to share them with our industry.” Forever Cheese will also feature ChocoDates®, pillowy Deglet Noor Dates dipped in dark chocolate, Pane di Musica, thin and crispy flatbread crackers from Sardinia, and retail bags of Organic Marcona Almonds Mitica®. Additionally, they will showcase their line of precut cheese wedges, including such esteemed selections as Genuine Fulvi® Pecorino Romano, Drunken Goat®, Sottocenere® al Tartufo, and Parmigiano Reggiano Mitica®.
In the fall of 2021, Forever Cheese introduced their new line of Mitica® charcuterie from Piacenza, Italy. The line includes a mix of DOP and non-DOP salumi from a top producer in the region. The meats are made from pigs born and bred solely in the local regions of Emilia Romagna and Lombardia and are processed within 24 hours, despite the DOP requiring a maximum of 72 hours after arrival. Their salumi are stuffed into natural, handmade casings before slow aging in natural caves, ensuring the meat is not too dry and has rich, concentrated flavor. The line includes Coppa Piacentina DOP, Guanciale, Pancetta Piacentina DOP, Salame Milano, Salame Piacentino DOP, and Salame Tartufo.
Mario Perez, Export Manager at Quesos Los Cameros, will be flying in from Spain to Las Vegas for the show. Los Cameros makes artisan cheeses from high quality milk in the renowned wine region of La Rioja. Mr. Perez will show a selection of their products, including two limited edition cheeses made using milk from a single herd of sheep and cows, respectively.
